The name says it all: Spartan. This annual fitness challenge held in the National Stadium is brutally tough, consisting of a 5km run with 20-23 obstacles to overcome. It is indeed to challenge one’s fitness comfort-zone as well as to introduce racers to unique and difficult ways to train and tackle physicality. We can’t spell out what exactly you will face, what fun would that be. However, we can assure there will be fire, mud, water, barbed wire, and occasionally Hell on Earth.

This race accommodates to any fitness level: advanced and competitive, leisure or beginners, you name it. Having different categories to choose from, anyone and everyone are welcomed warmly.

In the Elite level, these athletes are competing to win prize money, test themselves against the best of the best, attract potential sponsors, and rise to the top of the Spartan Race Point Series.

For the Age Group category, formerly known as “Competitive”, is a series of heats placed immediately after the Elite category. Age Group racers will follow the same rules and standards as the Elite racers. (Age Group Categories: 14-17, 18-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60+)

Lastly, the Open category is for everyone, period. Weekend warriors, novice athletes, first-time racers, and teams are all welcome here.

Finishers will receive Spartan merchandises as well as a medal and professional photos to take home. Care for a challenge now? Log on to their website to sign up or learn more about the event.
