Miesha Tate is a UFC World Champion, Strikeforce World Champion, FILA Grappling World Championships Silver Medalist and now the Vice President of ONE Championship.
Known for her toughness, resilience, and ferocious grappling, Tate is a pioneer of women’s MMA. As one of the biggest global superstars, she has helped to grow the sport around the world and serves as a role model to future generations of martial artists.
Born in Washington, USA, Tate is often regarded as one of the greatest female mixed martial artists. She has competed against many icons of MMA such as Holly Holm, Ronda Rousey, and Amanda Nunes. Dana White credited Tate’s fight with Ronda Rousey in 2012 as the key factor in the creation of women’s divisions in the UFC.
She has a 18-7 record in MMA.
At EVOLVE MMA, she will be teaching students of all levels, starting this week.
“We are very excited to have Miesha join our team here at EVOLVE MMA. She is a martial arts legend, and the experience she brings is invaluable. The opportunity for EVOLVE MMA students to train under and learn directly from her week in and week out is special. Our team consists of World Champions across various martial arts and adding a pioneer such as Miesha to the team allows us to continue to provide our students with the highest level of martial arts instruction possible,” said Wesley De Souza, Vice President at EVOLVE MMA
“I’ve had the chance to compete at the highest level of martial arts throughout my career and joining EVOLVE is the next chapter for me as an instructor! I am so excited to share my knowledge alongside the many other World Champion instructors EVOLVE MMA has. Together we will help grow martial arts here in Singapore and I truly look forward to sharing my experience and what I know with my students,” said the 32-year-old Tate.Leave a comment
