Working together with Japanese brand Undercover, Converse brings in another unique spellbinding footwear collection: New Warriors. Taking after the classic Chuck silhouette, Undercover’s mastermind Jun Takahashi makes a creative twist out of the iconic shoe by drawing influence from opposing style tribes seen in ’70s cult film.
The new drop has two iterations of the Chuck 70, both constructed with a boot zipper embedded between a laced zipper guard that offers an alternate lace-up structure with metal ring accents.
The original Chuck ankle patch is swapped out for an embroidered “NW” patch, an abbreviation for “New Warriors,” a term also printed on the silhouette’s tonal toecap.
All elements are designed to form a tension between high-culture sophisticated fashion and rough-and-tumble street-styled rebellion.
For the loyal Chuck Taylor fans, this is a new take on the iconic and classic Chuck design that you would not want to miss.
The Converse x Undercover collection will be available March 16 on converse.com.sg and at select retailers.Leave a comment
