London outfit Chelsea signs Gonzalo Higuain on loan from Juventus after opting for Stamford Bridge instead of staying at AC Milan.
Alvaro Morata is expected to depart in the coming days on a loan deal to Atletico Madrid with the option to make it permanent in the summer.
The deal sees Higuain reunite with Maurizio Sarri, who was in charge of Napoli during the 31-year-old’s most prolific period to date when he scored 36 goals during the 2015/16 season.
“I’m really excited to be here, to be working with Maurizio Sarri again and to be at a club with so much history. I’m just really happy to have completed the move and I hope to achieve all the goals which the club has set for itself between now and the end of the season.” said the Argentine.
The former Real Madrid man has always been a consistent presence in front of goal and has scored an average of 29 goals per season for the past five seasons.
Higuain has scored eight goals this season for Milan.Leave a comment
