Winter transfers across Europe tend to vary between ridiculous and stale.

Last minute desperate attempts to sign reinforcements often see values of players increase exponentially due to teams trying to tie down their targets before the summer.

In the English Premier League, a number of deals caught the eye of the public, and some were surprising as it was dealt fairly silent.
