Cesc Fabregas has agreed a three-year deal to join French side AS Monaco in the summer, but the deal could be brought forward for this winter transfer window.
Chelsea has confirmed that the former Arsenal and Barcelona star will be allowed to leave once they have signed his replacements – Nicolo Barella and Leandro Paredes.
Monaco manager Thierry Henry also confirmed that he is in regular contact with Fabregas, with the two players having played together at Arsenal for four seasons between 2004-2007.
The Spaniard appeared to wave goodbye to the club’s supporters after their FA Cup victory over Nottingham Forest amid reports he played his last game for the club. Fabregas made 138 appearances for the London club, scoring 22 times in the five seasons spent there.Leave a comment
